Iceland inspired Strokkur brooch - labradorite

The volcanic regions, the mystical site of Geysir and the geyser Strokkur in Iceland, were the source of inspiration for this handmade Iceland inspired Strokkur brooch.

Iceland, the wild one. Iceland, the mysterious one that lies at the gates of the Arctic, alone in the middle of cold waters. Swept by the winds, this land of volcanoes rumbles and spits its thick smoke high into the sky. Lava flows through its veins. Her heart bleeds. She is fire and ice. The one that petrifies the waters. And from these open wounds, an indefinable beauty is born.

Everywhere, the earth smokes in this geothermal field. Hot water steams from the ground, mud pools boil and water gushes from the bowels of the earth. The Strokkur geyser, for its part, can project its column of hot water up to 20 metres high, it is impressive this force coming from the bowels of the Earth! The expulsions occur very regularly. You will have to wait between 10 and 15 minutes to observe a new column of water and steam ;)

Finally, for me, the most beautiful thing is the blue water bubble that rises and falls before each gush. It is a specific feature of this geyser, and I could not choose any other stone than this labradorite to illustrate it.

This piece is made of recycled brass, with a steel back pin. Iceland inspired Strokkur brooch featuring a little blue labradorite set in the bowels of the brooch! This brooch is also a kinetic jewel, it's dome turns around !

Great care is taken during my work, to provide you with a high quality and sustainable work. I know you want to protect and take care of your little piece of art, so let me share some of my advice: 

•  please remember to take of your jewel during sport sessions, and while swimming or bathing.
• I recommend putting your face cream or perfume, at least 15 to 20 minutes before wearing your jewel.
• Even if you love them, avoid sleeping with your jewels ;)

This Iceland inspired Strokkur brooch is available immediately and will be shipped to you  within 3-5 business days from the date of purchase. It will be shipped via French Post Collissimo or International Collissimo, depending on your location. Your jewel will arrive within 2-5 business days from the date it is shipped if your in France for example.
